ABOUT JEERA PAANI RECIPE

Jeera paani is spicy, sweet, tangy water, served as welcome drink. It is a very good appetizer, improves digestion.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Jaggery 1/2 cup
  2. Tamarind pulp 2 tbsp
  3. Cumin seeds 2 tesp
  4. Saunf/fennel seeds 1 tesp
  5. Black pepper corn 10-12
  6. Black cardamom 1
  7. Sugar 2 tbsp
  8. Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  9. Mint leaves 1 tbsp
  10. Water 4 cups

Instructions

  1. Boil Jaggery, tamarind pulp, black pepper corn, seeds of black cardamom, cumin seeds and fennel seeds with half cup of water. Then let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Cool and blend.
  3. Seive.
  4. Mix sugar and lemon juice in strained water.
  5. Add remaining water(chilled) ,black salt and crushed mint leaves.
  6. Serve garnished with lemon slices and mint leaves.
