Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Whole Wheat Flour 1 cup
  2. Deshi ghee 2 cups
  3. Jaggery grated 2 cups
  4. Dry ginger powder 1 cup
  5. Fenugreek seeds 1/2 cup
  6. Black pepper crushed 1/2 cup
  7. Sesame seeds 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. First of all heat 1 cup of deshi ghee just to melt and soak ginger powder into it for 1 hour.
  2. Heat rest of the ghee ,add fenugreek seeds and flour at a time .
  3. Roast till it smells good and turn into pinkish brown.
  4. Add Ginger powder soaked ghee and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add black pepper to it and cook for 2 minutes on slow heat.
  6. Now add sesame seeds and cook again to roast them
  7. Finally add jaggery and cook for 10 minutes to get it into a thick and halwa type consistency.
  8. Pour over a springform tin and let it set for 2 hours in a cool place.
  9. Cut into pieces and serve with warm milk.
