This is one of delicious khichdi , which is made in very less time and very easy to make , its a one pot meal , very nutritive ,its made of dal rice and veggies like onion ,tomatoes , green peas and panner ,this khichdi is really healthy for kids ,age old people , diabetic persons so lets give healthy food to our family

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. dhuli moong yellow dal 1cup
  2. Rice 1/2 cup
  3. Cinnamon Stick 1
  4. Bay leaf -1
  5. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Corriander powder 1/4 tsp
  7. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  8. Asafoetida a pinch
  9. Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
  10. Dry red chilly 1-2
  11. Ginger 1tsp grated
  12. Onion 1 chopped
  13. Tomatoes 2pureed
  14. Green peas 1/2 cup boiled
  15. Cottage cheese cubes 1/2 cup
  16. Salt to taste
  17. Ghee 2tbsp
  18. Water as required

Instructions

  1. HEAT 2 TBSP GHEE IN A PAN
  2. ADD 1 TSP CUMIN SEEDS, A PINCH OF ASAFOETIDA, 1 BAY LEAF & 1 CINNAMON STICK
  3. ADD 1-2 DRY RED CHILLIES, 1/2 TSP TURMERIC
  4. ADD 1 TSP GRATED GINGER, 1 CHOPPED ONION, FRY TILL TRANSLUCENT
  5. ADD 1/4 CUP TOMATO PUREE, SAUTE
  6. ADD 1/4 TSP EACH OF RED CHILLI, CORIANDER POWDERS
  7. ADD 1/4 TSP GARAM MASALA POWDER
  8. ADD 1 CUP YELLOW MOONG DAL & 1/2 CUP RICE
  9. ADD SALT TO TASTE, WATER AS REQUIRED
  10. COOK ON SLOW HEAT TILL RICE AND DAL ARE COOKED
  11. ADD 1/2 CUP COTTAGE CHEESE & 1/2 CUP BOILED GREEN PEAS
  12. MIX IT WELL
  13. COVER & COOK FOR 5-10 MINS
  14. TRANSFER TO A SERVING BOWL
  15. GARNISH WITH CORIANDER, SERVE HOT
