Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bhavnagra Marcha 500gm
  2. Potato 8-10 medium sized
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Red chillie 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Coriander seeds (powdered)
  6. Cumin 1/4teaspoon
  7. Cardamom 2pods
  8. Cinnamon 1"stick
  9. Clove 2-3 only (laung)
  10. Garlic cloves 1 full
  11. Water 1/2cup
  12. Mustard oil 1 karchi

Instructions

  1. These are the ingredients used as shown in picture
  2. Wash and chop potatoes like this half moon shaped as shown in picture
  3. Wash and chop bhavnagra marcha in roundels as shown in picture
  4. Peel Garlic, will use the full clove, (do not chop or make paste) as shown in picture
  5. Now take cooker,place on gas as shown in picture
  6. Put mustard oil in it,heat well to smoking point, as shown in picture
  7. Now add khade masale (cumin,cloves,cinnamon and cardamom) all together as shown in picture
  8. Now add red chillie powder, we will use very little because itself marcha is very strong, as shown in picture
  9. Now add coriander seeds (use powdered one) as shown in picture
  10. Now add salt to taste,mix well, as shown in picture
  11. Now add potatoes to it, as shown in picture
  12. Mix well,it will look like this, as shown in picture
  13. Now add full garlic cloves, as shown in picture
  14. It will look like this after adding it to the potatoes, as shown in picture
  15. Now mix all well, at this time add bhavnagra marcha to it, as shown in picture
  16. Mix well, stirring continuously, keep for few minutes on sim flame, as shown in picture
  17. Now put water and keep for another few minutes, as shown in picture
  18. Now close the lid of cooker and off the gas, after few minutes we will check out, as shown in picture
  19. Finally the dish is ready to serve, plate properly and serve hot, as shown in picture

This was first tasted in 1980 at karnavati hotel in ahmedabad (gujarat)
