Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Basmati rice 1 kg
  2. sugar 250gms
  3. almonds 100gm
  4. cashew nuts 100gms
  5. Raisins 100gms
  6. pistachios 100gms
  7. Apricot 100gms
  8. Charoli 50gms
  9. cardamom 10 pods
  10. Saffron 1 gm
  11. Milk 1/2 ltr
  12. pure ghee 250gms
  13. Cinnamon 1 stick
  14. star anas 1 pc
  15. cloves 10 pcs
  16. orange food colour as per requirement

Instructions

  1. Wash rice and keep aside.
  2. Soak saffron in hot milk and keep aside.
  3. soak orange food colour in water and keep aside.
  4. Heat pure ghee in a pan and add cinnamon, cloves, star anas, cardamom.
  5. Now add almonds, cashew, raisins and charoli, pistachios and fry them.
  6. Add milk in that same pan with fried dry fruits and let it boil for 5 min.
  7. Add rice to the boiling milk and dry fruit mixture and let it cook for 10 min or untill rice is half cooked.
  8. Add saffron to the pan, and cover the rice and let it cook.
  9. Check when rice is almost cooked, add Sugar and food colour to the dish.
  10. cook it for another 5 minutes.
  11. serve hot for better taste.
