ABOUT Kali Mirch Paneer RECIPE

Kali Mirch Paneer is a delicious yet different flavor of paneer sabji. The recipe is flavorsome with freshly ground Kali Mirch (black peppercorns). It is easy to make yet different from the traditional way of making paneer.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Onion 1 no.
  2. Kaju (cashew) 1 tbsp
  3. Green chilli 1 no.
  4. 1 tbsp kali Mirch (black pepper corns)
  5. Jeera (cumin) 1 tsp
  6. Beaten curd 1 cup
  7. Paneer cubes 1 cup
  8. Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  9. Red chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  10. Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
  11. Salt 1 tsp
  12. sugar 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a wok. Saute one chopped onion and 1 tablespoon of cashew nuts and 1 sliced green chilli on medium flame.
  2. Grind 1 tablespoon of fresh black pepper corns in a grinder. Keep aside.
  3. When the onions get brown transfer them in a mixer and grind into a smooth paste adding very little water.
  4. Again heat the pan and add one tsp of oil. Crackle one teaspoon of cumin(jeera).
  5. Add the onion paste.
  6. Add freshly grounded kali Mirch ( black pepper corns)
  7. Add 1/2 tsp of coriander powder, 1/4 tsp of red chilli powder and 1/4 tsp of garam masala powder. Cook for few minutes.
  8. Add one cup of beaten curd.
  9. Add 1 tsp of salt to the gravy.
  10. Add 1/4 tsp of sugar.
  11. When the gravy starts boiling add one cup of paneer cubes.
  12. Cook for few minutes till gravy thickens.
  13. Flavoursome Kali Mirch Paneer is ready. Serve hot.
