About Cheesy Chole Recipe

Yummy chole made with an interesting twist of cheese, making it a must-try for all cheese lovers.

Cheesy Chole

Ingredients to make Cheesy Chole

  • chickpeas - 2 cups
  • onion - 1 (chopped)
  • capsicum - 1/2 (chopped)
  • ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Green chili paste - 1/2 tsp
  • coriander leaves - few
  • Roasted cumin powder - 3/4 tsp
  • Red Chili powder - 1 tsp
  • Chole masala - 6 tsp
  • lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • curd - 2 tbsp
  • Cheese - 1 cube (grated)
  • salt - as needed

How to make Cheesy Chole

  1. Soak chickpeas overnight and boil them in the morning. Keep aside.
  2. Heat oil, add onion and fry till translucent, then add capsicum and stir for a while.
  3. Add ginger and chili paste, curds, few coriander leaves, cumin powder, chili powder, chole masala, lemon juice and salt and cook until oil separates.
  4. Now add boiled chickpeas and mix well. Finally add grated cheese and stir well.
  5. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves and cheese.

My Tip:

If you want to relish them as snacks, make a little dry. And if you wish to serve them along with hot fluffy puris, then prefer making with a little more gravy by adding extra curd as needed.
