ABOUT CHINO INDIANA IDLI BURGER RECIPE

This is an innovative fusion video where South Indian recipe called idli being fried with besan combined with Chinese condiments like basil, thyme, and oregano. Vegetables patties are made with all in one Chinese sauce, ajinomoto and vinegar. Traditional South Indian green coconut chutney is used as main spread with cheese spread and ketchup. Solanum nigram is used according to our Indian style. It's totally innovative with intresting spread..

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For idli burger
  2. Idlis 4
  3. Garam flour 2tablepoon
  4. Sambhar powder 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Oregano 1/4 teaspoon
  6. Thyme 1/4 teaspoon
  7. Basil 1/4 teaspoon
  8. Kesar powder 2pinch
  9. Salt to taste
  10. water 1/4 cup
  11. Oil for frying
  12. For vegetable patties
  13. Potato 2
  14. Beans 6
  15. Carrot 2
  16. Spring onion 3
  17. Sambhar powder 3/4 teaspoon
  18. Salt to taste
  19. Solanum nigram leaves 4
  20. For spread
  21. Tomato ketchup 4teaspoon
  22. Cheese spread 4 teaspoon
  23. For green chutney
  24. Coconut 1/4 cup chopped
  25. Fried Gram 1/4 cup
  26. coriander leaves a bunch
  27. Tamarind gooseberry size ( small)
  28. Green chilli 1 salt to taste.
  29. For tempering
  30. Mustard seeds 1/4 teaspoon
  31. Urad dhal 1/4 teaspoon
  32. Channa dhal 1/4 teaspoon
  33. Curry leaves little
  34. Oil 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. PRESSURE COOK 4 IDLIS.
  2. GREEN CHUTNEY: GRIND 1/4 CUP CHOPPED COCONUT, 1/4 CUP FRIED GRAM, 1 GREEN CHILLI, BUNCH OF CORIANDER LEAVES & SALT TO TASTE.
  3. TEMPER GREEN CHUTNEY WITH 1/4 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS, 1/4 TSP URAD DAL, 1/4 TSP CHANA DAL, 1/4 TSP CUMIN SEEDS AND A FEW CURRY LEAVES.
  4. IN A KADAHI, HEAT OIL. ADD 3 CHOPPED SPRING ONIONS, 2 BOILED & MASHED POTATOES, 6 CHOPPED BEANS & 2 CHOPPED CARROTS.
  5. ADD LITTLE AJINOMOTO (CHINESE SALT).
  6. ADD 1 TSP ALL IN ONE CHINESE SAUCE.
  7. ADD 1/2 TSP OF VINEGAR.
  8. ADD SALT TO TASTE.
  9. ADD 3/4 TSP OF SAMBHAR POWDER. MIX WELL. STIR FRY THE VEGETABLES. KEEP ASIDE.
  10. BLANCH 4 LEAVES OF INDIAN GREENS FOR TWO MINUTES IN SALTED, HOT WATER.
  11. REMOVE FROM WATER AND KEEP ASIDE.
  12. MIX 2 TBSP GRAM FLOUR, 1/4 TSP OREGANO, 1/4 TSP THYME, 1/4 TSP BASIL, 1/2 TSP SAMBHAR POWDER, A PINCH OF KESAR POWDER & SALT WITH WATER.
  13. MIX WELL. THE BATTER FOR FRYING IDLI IS READY.
  14. DIP IDLI IN THE BATTER AND FRY IN MEDIUM HOT OIL.
  15. GENTLY FRY BURGER IDLI TILL GOLDEN BROWN.
  16. BURGER IDLI IS READY.
  17. PLACE A BURGER IDLI SPREAD, KETCHUP AND PLACE GREENS.
  18. PLACE VEGETABLE PATTY.
  19. PLACE ONE MORE GREEN LEAF AND APPLY GREEN CHUTNEY.
  20. TAKE ANOTHER IDLI BURGER AND APPLY CHEESE SPREAD. PLACE THIS IDLI BURGER ON TOP OF THE PREPARED ONE.
  21. GARNISH WITH COCONUT SHAVINGS, CORIANDER LEAVES & KETCHUP.
  22. CHINO INDIANA IDLI BURGER IS READY TO SERVE.
