ABOUT Homemade Chilli Garlic Paste RECIPE

A versatile condiment to pack a punch to any dish, be it burgers, sandwiches, Asian food, soups or even a simple fried rice!

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Around 40 to 50 dry red chillies
  2. 10 to 12 large cloves of garlic, peeled and sliced
  3. 1 teaspoon vinegar
  4. ½ teaspoon sugar
  5. 1 teaspoon oil
  6. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Deseed all the chilies and soak in enough hot water for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, peel and slice or chop the garlic cloves. After 15 minutes of soaking, drain the red chilies.
  2. In a blender or mixer, add the soaked chillies, garlic, vinegar, sugar and salt and blend to a fine paste. Remove from the blender into a bowl. Add the oil and mix it in.
  3. Stir well and store in an airtight container (preferably glass) in the refrigerator. Use as needed in a variety of dishes like sandwiches, Chinese, pulaos, biryanis, Thai dishes etc.
