ABOUT Fruit Salad Milk Holige Balls RECIPE

Milk holige or obbattu is a savory made out of poor and coconut milk is a traditional dish. Here me innovated and gave a fusion twist by chapati and fruits salad to make it still healthy. It's really good in taste.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 Cup Whole wheat flour
  2. 1 cup milk
  3. 1/4 tsp Salt
  4. 4 tsp ghee
  5. 1/2 cup whole wheat flour for dusting
  6. For sweet coconut milk....
  7. Grated coconut 1 cup
  8. Jaggery powder 1 cup
  9. Salt a pinch
  10. Cardamom 1 tsp
  11. Water 5-6 cups
  12. For fruit salad....
  13. 2cup chopped and seeded fruits as your choice
  14. Honey 3 tsp
  15. Vanilla ice cream 4-5 table spoon
  16. Sweet coconut milk 2 table spoon

Instructions

  1. ADD 1 CUP MILK TO 2 CUPS WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR.
  2. ADD A PINCH OF SALT. MIX WELL.
  3. ADD 4 TSP GHEE. KNEAD INTO A SOFT DOUGH. REST DOUGH FOR 30 MINUTES.
  4. PREPARE DOUGH BALLS FROM DOUGH.
  5. GENEROUSLY DUST WITH FLOUR & ROLL BALLS USING A ROLLING PIN.
  6. PLACE IT ON THE HOT TAWA.
  7. COOK UNTIL BUBBLES START TO FORM ON TOP AND FLIP IT TO SPREAD THE GHEE.
  8. AGAIN FLIP AND CHECK, IF IT IS COOKED WELL REMOVE ONTO A PLATE.
  9. TAKE 1 CUP GRATED COCONUT, 1 CUP JAGGERY POWDER, 1 TSP CARDAMOM, SALT & WATER IN A BLENDER JAR.
  10. BLEND TILL SMOOTH TO MAKE COCONUT MILK.
  11. POUR 2 TBSP OF COCONUT MILK ON A PLATE. PLACE ONE CHAPATI FOR MILK HOLIGE.
  12. POUR COCONUT MILK ON TOP, PLACE ONE MORE CHAPATI. DO THE SAME FOR THE REST. LET REST FOR 1 HOUR.
  13. COMBINE MIXED CHOPPED FRESH FRUITS FOR FRUIT SALAD IN A BOWL.
  14. ADD 3 TSP HONEY & 4-5 TBSP VANILLA ICE CREAM.
  15. MIX WELL.
  16. ADD 2 TBSP OF COCONUT MILK. REFRIGERATE & LET SET FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES.
  17. MAKE GOOSEBERRY SIZED BALLS OUT OF COCONUT MILK ABSORBED CHAPATIS (MILK HOLIGE).
  18. ADD SOME CHILLED FRUIT SALAD TO A SERVING BOWL.
  19. PLACE FEW MILK HOLIGE BALLS.
  20. AGAIN TOP WITH SOME FRUIT SALAD. LET CHILL & SERVE.
