Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Puffed Rice/ Murmura – 200grams
  2. Green chilly – 1 or 2
  3. Curry leaves – 1 to 2 sprigs
  4. Garlic pods – 5
  5. Mustard seeds – 1/2tspn
  6. Roasted fried gram – 1/4th cup
  7. Ground nuts – few
  8. Turmeric powder – 1/2 tspn
  9. Oil – few tspns
  10. Sugar – 1/4th tspn
  11. Salt – according to taste.

Instructions

  1. In a thick heavy bottom vessel heat oil. Add mustard seeds. Once it crackles add finely sliced garlic pieces and chilly slices Add curry leaves, groundnuts and roasted fried gram. Make sure you are frying on medium to low flame to avoid burning.
  2. Fry till garlic is crisp. Add salt and turmeric powder. Mix well. Add murmura and mix continuously till it combines well. Cook on low flame for 5minutes.
  3. Transfer to air tight container once it's completely cooled.
  4. Notw : If murmura is of salty variety adjust salt accordingly in tadka. Adjust chilly according to your preference.
  5. Serve fresh and enjoy with hot cup of tea.
