About Chilli Crab Recipe

Chilli crab is a Singapore original seafood dish!

Chilli Crab

Ingredients to make Chilli Crab

  • 1 large Mud Crab
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 4-5 Red chillies
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup Spring onions chopped
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp ginger chopped
  • 2 tsp Soy sauce
  • 5-6 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • oil
  • salt to taste

How to make Chilli Crab

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add ginger, garlic, chillies and onions.
  2. Cook till golden brown at low flame for few minutes.
  3. Blend the mixture and add vinegar, soy, spring onions, pepper, salt and saute for 3 mins.
  4. Add crab and cover the pan with lid. Cook till shell turns red.
