ABOUT Mango-Raisins-Coconut Chutney {Babies/Toddlers } - Healthy Dip RECIPE

The uniqueness of the chutney is its distinctive flavour.It is my own version of chutney prepared keeping in view of toddlers/kids. It can be served as a dip with dosa, idli,khichdi.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sweetened raw mango (Organic)- 1/2 cup
  2. Raisins- 10
  3. Grated coconut - 2 tablespoons
  4. Jaggery-1 teaspoon
  5. Mustard seeds-1 pinch
  6. Cumin seeds- 1 pinch
  7. Coriander fruits - 1 pinch
  8. Curry leaves-1 sprig
  9. Bengal gram - 1 teaspoon
  10. Black gram -1 teaspoon
  11. Turmeric powder-1 pinch
  12. Salt- to taste
  13. Oil/Ghee- 1 tablespoon.

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over a medium flame.
  2. Add mustard ,cumin,coriander fruits,bengal gram,black gram,curry leaf sprigs,turmeric powder one after the other.
  3. Saute until golden brown in color.
  4. Add sweetened raw mango slices,grated coconut and salt to it. Mix well .
  5. Let the mix attain room temperature. Then add raisins and jaggery to it.
  6. Transfer the above mix to a dry mixie jar.Grind to get a slightly coarse texture,if necessary add water to it to get a thin consistent chutney.
  7. Serve with dosa,idli or any breakfast.
