Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Wheat flour 100 gm
  2. Chickpea flour 25 gm
  3. Fenugreek powder 100 gm
  4. Katlu / Batrisu powder 50 gm
  5. Dry ginger powder 50 gm
  6. Peepramul powder 25 gm
  7. Edible Gum baval / dink 50 gm
  8. Dry grated coconut or grind it 25 gm
  9. Poppy seeds 1 tbs
  10. Almond and walnut powder 50 gm
  11. Melon seeds 1 tbs
  12. Jaggery 200 gm
  13. Sugar powder 2 tbs ( if you like more sweet take 50 gm)
  14. Ghee 300 gm

Instructions

  1. Take 200 gm ghee and wheat flour in a thick bottom pan cook on medium heat. Add chickpeas flour again cook. Stir continuously.
  2. Cook the both flour till it gets light brown in color and you can feel the pleasant aroma of cooked flour then add grind gum or dink and stir continuously.
  3. Now add all other ingredients like methi powder, dry coconut powder, almond and walnut powder, dry ginger powder, peepramul powder, Batrisu powder mix well and turn off the flame.
  4. Add remaining ghee in a kadai heat on low flame add Jaggery (chopped in small pieces) melt, stir continuously
  5. Add the melted jaggery in the above flour mixture pan mix well. Add melon seeds and half of poppy seeds if u want more sweet add powdered sugar at this time.
  6. Set it in a plate sprinkle remaining poppy seeds. After 15 minutes cut it with sharp knife. Keep it aside to set for 1 hour.
  7. Methi Pak is ready to serve. It is very healthy food for post pregnancy and for elderly aged people for joint pain and also good in winter.
