Ingredients to make Curry Leaves Rice - Quick and easy

  • Raw Rice - 1 & 1/2 cup
  • Salt - As required
  • Groundnut - handful
  • urad dal - 2 tsp
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Red chilli - 4
  • Jeera - 2 tsp
  • Channa dal - 2 tblsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 cup, packed
  • Oil - As required

How to make Curry Leaves Rice - Quick and easy

  1. Cook raw rice with ratio 1 : 2 water for 2 whistles in high flame and simmer for ten min and cool the rice with a tsp of sesame oil.
  2. Roast channa dal,jeera,red chilli table except curry leaves.Roast until channa dal n chilli becomes brown.Add curryleaves and roast for few min.
  3. Once cooled, the curry leaves will turn crisp, so it will get easily powdered. Powder it in a mixer to a slightly coarse powder.
  4. Heat Oil and temper using mustard,Urad dhal,Groundnuts and then add to cooled rice and mix well.Add the powdered curry leaves powder and mix well
  5. Serve with any curry, kootu,raita or vadams.
