Teewarn/ Sindhi Mutton Curry

Ingredients to make Teewarn/ Sindhi Mutton Curry

  • 1 kg of Mutton chops
  • 3 large sized Onions, finely chopped
  • 3 medium sized Tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2-3 =Green chillies
  • 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 4 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 4 Bay leaves
  • 2 Black cardamoms
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 5 tbsp Curd
  • 6 tbsp Oil
  • Salt to taste

How to make Teewarn/ Sindhi Mutton Curry

  1. Take a pan/kadai, and pour in the 6 tbsp oil to heat. Once the oil is hot, add in the cumin seeds, cardamoms, bay leaves and stir well.
  2. Next, add in the chillies and chopped onions, stir them together for a minute then add in the ginger-garlic paste and fry till this mixture turns golden brown in colour.
  3. Then add in the mutton chops along with salt to taste. Fry these chops for 8-10 minutes on a semi-medium flame.
  4. After this time, lower the flame and add in the chopped tomatoes. Also add in the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and stir it well with the meat. Cover and cook this for 10-15 minutes.
  5. After this time, pour in the curd and mix well. Then cover again and cook for another 25-30 minutes till the mutton chops become tender and juicy.
  6. Serve this mutton curry warm alongside naan roti to enjoy!
