This is a healthy and yummy recipe of porridge made with Ragi.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sprouted Ragi - 1 cup
  2. 1 cup milk
  3. Ghee- 4 tsp
  4. Badam and cashew- finely chopped or powdered
  5. Saffron
  6. Sugar- 1/2 cup
  7. Walnut finely chopped
  8. cardamom

Instructions

  1. Before Preparing porridge take the ragi and soak overnight till the ragi gets sprouted
  2. Now take out water from the sprouted ragi and rinse thoroughly and take it into a mixie jar
  3. Now grind well till it turns into a smooth paste
  4. Take out the paste into a muslin cloth and strain well
  5. Again repeat the procedure for two-three times,now we will get the milk like consistency
  6. Now take a Non stick vessel and add the prepared milk and the sugar and powdered badam and kaju and cardamom and walnut
  7. Now switch on the flame and stir continuously till it becomes a thick consistency
  8. Now add the ghee and saffron and again mix well now after adding ghee it should not stick to the vessel.Now switch off the flame
  9. Take a plate and grease with ghee and add the mixture and let it cool
