Ingredients to make Achari Mirchi Pakora

  • Large green mild Chillies / Bhavnagri chilies - 12 nos.
  • Bengal gram flour- 1-1/2 cup
  • Refined oil- 500 ml / as required for deep frying
  • Rice flour -2 tbsp
  • water- as required
  • baking soda- a pinch
  • Baking powder 1/4 tsp
  • salt- to taste
  • FOR STUFFING-
  • red chilly powder 3/4 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • fennel powder 1 tsp
  • Mango pickle masala 1.5 tbsp
  • Boiled and grated potatoes- 300 gm
  • Crumbled and mashed paneer-150 gms
  • salt to taste
  • Amchoor powder- 1 -1/2 tsp

How to make Achari Mirchi Pakora

  1. FOR BATTER- MIX 1.5 CUPS GRAM FLOUR, 2 TBSP RICE FLOUR, SALT TO TASTE
  2. ADD A PINCH OF BAKING SODA, 1/4 TSP OF BAKING POWDER & WATER AS REQUIRED
  3. MAKE A THICK BATTER, KEEP ASIDE
  4. FOR STUFFING- MIX 300 GMS BOILED & GRATED POTATOES, 150 GMS GRATED PANEER
  5. ADD SALT TO TASTE, 1.5 TSP AMCHOOR, 3/4 TSP RED CHILLI & 1 TSP FENNEL POWDERS
  6. ADD 1 TSP CORIANDER POWDER, 1.5 TBSP MANGO PICKLE MASALA, MIX
  7. STUFFING IS READY, KEEP ASIDE. SLIT & DE-SEED 12 LARGE GREEN CHILLIES
  8. FILL THEM WITH STUFFING
  9. DIP THE STUFFED CHILLIES IN THE READY BATTER, DEEP FRY IN HOT OIL ON MEDIUM HEAT
  10. FRY TILL GOLDEN BROWN & REMOVE ON A TISSUE PAPER
