The benefits of coconut has been known to us for Long. The main ones being, it helps improving digestion and absorption of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. It Improves insulin secretion and symptoms associated with diabetes. It helps protect the body from cancers due to insulin reduction, removal of free radicals that cause premature aging and degenerative disease. Reduces risk of heart health and improves good cholesterol (HDL) and supports thyroid function. Sooji is digested slowly making you less hungry. Having a low glycemic index, sooji is ideal for those who wish to lose weight or those who have blood sugar problems. The combination is excellent for elders and pregnant women

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 100 gms rava/semolina
  2. 100 gms fresh coconut shredded
  3. 5 tbn jaggery powder
  4. 1 tbn green cardamom powder
  5. 5-8 tbn ghee
  6. 4 tbn powdered mixed nuts

Instructions

  1. Melt 2 tbn ghee and add the semolina and dry roast till slightly browned
  2. Now add shredded coconut and jaggery powder and mix well
  3. As the mix starts drying add the rest of the ghee and cardamom powder and keep stirring till the mix starts to leaves the sides of the pan
  4. Add powdered nuts and mix well. Take of heat
  5. Prepare ladoos while the mix is warm
  6. Store in airtight box and consume within 2 days
