Ingredients to make chicken kurma

  • Chicken 1/2kg
  • Ginger garlic paste 2tbsp
  • Turmeric powder, a pinch
  • Maggie cube 1
  • Green chillies 8
  • Yogurt or curd 1/2 cup
  • Black papper 1 teaspn
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Onions 4
  • Cinnamon 1/2 inch
  • Cloves 2
  • Coriander leaves, 1/2 bunch
  • Half lemon and pinch food colour
  • Few mint leaves
  • Oil 5 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

How to make chicken kurma

  1. Heat oil in a vessel, add cinnamon, cloves and green chillies, fry for 1 min.
  2. Add onions and fry till golden brown. Now add ginger garlic paste and fry for 2 mins.
  3. Add turmeric powder, black pepper powder and Maggie cube, fry for another 1 min.
  4. Now add tomatoes and coriander leaves, fry till tomatoes are soft and add salt to taste.
  5. Add chicken and cook till half done, then add yogurt/curd and cook for 5 to 10 min.
  6. When chicken is boiled add yellow food colour and mix well.
  7. Garnish it with onion slices, capsicum slice or as you desire.
  8. Serve it with chapatis/parotas/naan/rice.
