ABOUT Jhaal Muri Canapes... RECIPE

An amazingly lovely twist to the spicy and tangy chaat from Bangladesh and West Bengal. The main attraction being the super spicy blend of spices used in this and instead of dry hot chillies, i have used kashmiri red chilli powder instead. Perfect snack and suitable for a quick brunch too. Happy Snacking Everyone !!!!!!!!!

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Puffed rice 3 cups
  2. Sev 1 cup
  3. Roasted peanuts 1/2 cup
  4. Chopped cucumbers 2
  5. Chopped tomatoes 2
  6. Chopped onions 2
  7. Chopped bell peppers 1 (optional)
  8. Coriander leaves chopped 2-3 tbsp
  9. Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  10. Chaat masala 1 tbsp
  11. Salt 1 tsp
  12. Red chilli powder or dry red chilli roasted and powdered 1 tsp
  13. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  14. Cumin powder 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. DRY ROAST ABOUT A TEASPOON OF RED CHILLI POWDER, CORIANDER AND CUMIN POWDERS.
  2. UNTIL FRAGRANT AND AROMATIC
  3. CHOP 1 CUP OF TOMATOES, ONIONS,CUCUMBERS AND CAPSICUM
  4. TO THE PUFFED RICE ADD SEV, ROASTED PEANUTS AND THE VEGGIES
  5. AND THE SPICE MIX
  6. SPRINKLE CHAAT MASALA ON TOP AND GARNISH WITH CORIANDER LEAVES
  7. GIVE THIS ALL A GOOD MIX. SQUEEZE SOME LEMON JUICE TOO.
  8. ARRANGE THE CRACKERS ON A SERVING PLATTER
  9. SPOON A GENEROUS AMOUNT OF JHAAL MURI CHAAT ON EACH
