ABOUT Dal Palak RECIPE

This is a very delicious and healthy recipe of dal, with the indukgence of iron rich spinach, this can be served with some roti or rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup chana dal
  2. 1 cup spinach pury
  3. 2 onion
  4. 2 tomatoes
  5. 1tsp chopp ginger
  6. 1 green chilli
  7. 1/4tsp cumin seeds
  8. 1/4tsp turmeric powder
  9. 1/4tsp red chilli
  10. 2 tbs desi ghee.

Instructions

  1. Soak the dal for 1 hour.
  2. Put ghee in a cooker
  3. Add cumin seeds
  4. Add chopped onions
  5. Put chopped tomatoes
  6. Add ginger and green chilli.
  7. Saute the masala.
  8. Put spinach puree
  9. Add the dal
  10. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder.
  11. Add required amount of water to it.
  12. Close the lid of the cooker and cook until 2 whistles are attained.
  13. Simmer for 8 minutes
  14. Open and check
  15. Mix and it is ready to be served.
