ABOUT Strawberry and Sooji Halwa RECIPE

A popular sooji halwa with twist of strawberries. You can use milk instead of water to make halwa more royal.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sooji – ¼ Cup
  2. Strawberry Puree – 3 to 4 tablespoon
  3. Ghee – 3 tablespoon
  4. Green Cardamom Powder – ¼ teaspoon
  5. Sugar – ¼ Cup
  6. Hot boiling water – 1 Cup
  7. Sliced almonds and cashewnuts - for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a kadhai.
  2. Once the ghee melts, add semolina and roast till it starts giving a nice aroma and the color changes to light golden brown.
  3. Now add the hot boling water slowly and keep stirring the halwa.
  4. Add sugar and green cardamom powder and mix well.
  5. Once the sugar mixes completely, cover the kadhai and let the halwa simmer for 2 more minutes.
  6. Now add strawberry puree and cook for another 2 minutes.
  7. Transfer the halwa into serving bowl and garnish with the sliced almonds and cashewnuts.
  8. Strawberry and Sooji Halwa is ready to serve
