ABOUT Muhallabia RECIPE

Mahalabia spelled as Muhalabiya, Muhallabia, Mahalabi and Mahalebi also. It's a Middle Eastern dessert of boiled milk, slightly sweetened and flavoured with rose water gives it a very festive and heavenly spirit.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Milk -200ml.
  2. corn flour - 2 tbsp
  3. corn flour - 2 tbsp
  4. Sugar - 2 tbsp (more if you like your desserts very sweet)
  5. Secret ingredient Dates-4
  6. Secret ingredient cinnamon powder 1/4tsp
  7. Rose Water -1 tsp
  8. Sliced Pistachios -10 to 12
  9. dessicated coconut - 2 tbsp
  10. Chopped rose petals 1tbs
  11. Raisins – 12
  12. Sliced Almonds -5-6

Instructions

  1. Boil Milk.
  2. Add dates cook for a minute then stir it.
  3. Mix the corn flour with 1/4 cup of milk and pour this into the boiling milk.
  4. Add sugar and boil it again on a low flame.
  5. Keep stirring continuously for a lump free mahalabiya.
  6. Cook for 5minutes on a low flame it will start to be thick like custard.
  7. Add the rose water and mix well.
  8. Keep stirring till it cools down completely.
  9. Add all ingredients.
  10. Put this inside the freezer for 2-3 hours.
  11. Serve chilled garnished with almonds,
