Mayo sauce chicken

Ingredients to make Mayo sauce chicken

  • 400 gms boneless less chicken(cut in long shape)
  • 150 gms cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 green bell pepper(cut in long shape)
  • 1 tsp of garlic paste to fry+ 1 and 1/2 tsp garlic paste for cooking
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 11/2 tsp of green chilli paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • Oil for cooking
  • Salt to taste

How to make Mayo sauce chicken

  1. Take the chicken in a mixing bowl, add ginger, garlic paste, 1 tsp green chili paste, 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, salt and mix well. Keep it aside for 1/2 an hour. After half an hour add corn starch and fry it.
  2. Take oil in a sauce pan, add garlic paste, green chili paste and capsicum along with the marinated chicken. Now add cream, mayonnaise with a gap of 1 minute and add milk in last and finally add salt and pepper to taste. Cook until the chicken is tender.
  3. For the tempering, take some oil in a fry pan, add cumin seeds. When they crackle turn off the gas and temper the chicken and close the lid for a pleasant smell.
  4. Serve it warm for best taste alongside rice or rotis.

the recipe says to fry the chicken after adding cornflour but in the 2nd step it says add the marinated chicken. so a bit confused....fry the chicken before adding in the pan or just add the marinated chicken?

I mean mayonnaise is a already cooked item, can we re- cook it without its taste compromised!! The cooking time is 30 mins, after adding milk how many minutes to simmer it??
