Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Onion :1 big
  2. Tomato purée :1 cup
  3. Urid dhal: 1 glass
  4. Red kidney beans:1/2 glass
  5. Ginger & garlic paste:2 spoon
  6. Green chilli :1
  7. Turmeric powder:1 pinch
  8. Red chilli powder:1 spoon
  9. Coriander powder:2 spoon
  10. Fresh cream:1/2 cup
  11. Butter :2 tablespoons
  12. Cinnamon:1
  13. Cardamom:1
  14. Bay leaf :1
  15. Cloves:1
  16. Cumin seeds:1 spoon
  17. Kasuri methi : as required
  18. Salt : as required

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak urad dhal and red kidney beans overnight.
  2. Before you start wash and rinse it once .
  3. Pressure cook and keep 15-20 whistles till it becomes soft
  4. Heat butter add cloves, cinnamon , cardamom, bay leaf and cumin seeds.
  5. Add onion and fry till translucent
  6. Add ginger and garlic paste and fry for about 2-3 minutes
  7. Now pour tomato purée and add all dry powder turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder.
  8. Allow it to cook till raw smell comes out.
  9. Add cooked urad dhal and stir well in a low flame
  10. Add salt and cook on a low flame for 10 minutes .
  11. Add fresh cream and kasuri methi at the end .
  12. Serve hot with Rotis.
