Kulkul is a goan recipe it is basically egg based recipe for christmas.i made it without egg .its a crunchy soft curl shaped delicacy liked by everyone.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 2cups all purpose flour
  2. 2 table spoon sooji
  3. 1/2cup oil or ghee
  4. 1/8teaspoon salt
  5. 1/2cup milk
  6. For sugar syrup
  7. 1 cup sugar
  8. 1/4cup water
  9. 1 teaspoon cardmom powder

Instructions

  1. Take flour in a big deep bowl .
  2. Add sooji and refined oil in it .Mix well.
  3. Now add salt and grounded sugar in it
  4. Add milk and mix well
  5. If required add some water and kneed well and make a smooth dough
  6. Cover it with damp cloth and rest for 10 minutes.
  7. Now add water and sugar in a pan and heat it together.
  8. Make a one one string syrup.
  9. Add some lemon drops in it
  10. Keep aside
  11. Now take the dough out and kneed once again. make small balls from the dough .
  12. Take a small ball press it from the back side of the fork and roll it .To get perfect kulkul shapes
  13. Make all kulkul like this
  14. Fry kulkul in hot oil on medium heat till golden brown.
  15. Keep aside for cooling.
  16. Add cooled kulkul in sugar syrup and take it out after 5 minutes.
  17. Your glazed kulkul are ready to eat .
