ABOUT Crispy fish fillet RECIPE

A wonderful alternative to fried fish . The secret ingredient is coconut . Giving it a crispy texture that serves as delicious starter , dip in sauce and a have bite and all the flavour flood your taste buds . The fish is seasoned to perfection creating a mix of flavours as you bite into the crispy outer crust . A great fish all the seafood lovers and healthy and nutritious way to start a meal.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Fish fillet (sulthan kanan) - 4 - 5 pieces
  2. Ginger grated- 1/2 teaspoon
  3. Garlic grated - 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Green chilly chopped - 1
  5. Maida- 1/2 cup
  6. Egg white - 1 egg
  7. Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup( secret ingrediant)
  8. Pepper- 1/4 teaspoon
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Canola or vegitable oil for shallow frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate fish fillet with pepper salt ginger garlic and green chilly for maximum 1 hour
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat
  3. Prepare 3 shallow dishes: one for the flour, one for the egg, and one for coconut . Add salt to the flour and egg
  4. Dredge fillet first in flour, then in egg, and finally in coconut.
  5. Shallow fry the fillet 5-8 minutes on each side untill the coating becomes golden brown.
  6. Serve on the warmed plates with optional lemon quarters on the side.
