ABOUT Christmas cookies RECIPE

The aroma of baking goods are spreading all over my house that means Christmas is around the corner. Having little ones in house inspire me to bake Christmas cookies in this time of year. This Christmas cookies taste awesome and making them is very easy. Celebrate this Christmas with homemade Christmas cookies and surprise your kid.

Ingredients Serving: 10

2 1/3 cups all purpose flour
1 cup soft butter/margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 egg
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1 cup red and green cadbury gems/m&m
1 cookie sheet

Instructions

Preheat oven 375 degree F(190 degree C). In a bowl add flour,baking powder,baking soda and cinnamon powder. Mix well and set aside.
In an another bowl whisk butter and sugar mix until smooth about 2 minutes. Add egg,mix well and incorporate dry ingredients with it. Make a smooth dough. Shape dough into teaspoonful balls and place them 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
Bake about 8 - 10 minutes or until golden brown. Place gems/ m&m's on top of baked cookie and press slightly. Let them cool in cookie sheet before taking them out in a wire rack for cooling.
This cookies can store in container for a month.
