Tikka boti kebab

Ingredients to make Tikka boti kebab

  • 500 gms lamb meat(cut into cubes)
  • 1 tbsp - raw papaya paste
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - roasted cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - roasted gram flour (Besan)
  • 1 tsp chat masala
  • 1 tsp - oil for marinating + for basting
  • Salt to taste
  • A piece of charcoal
  • 1 tsp ghee

How to make Tikka boti kebab

  1. Wash and pat dry mutton. Marinate mutton with the above spices including oil.
  2. Leave to rest preferably overnight or for at least 2 hours. Arrange the pieces of mutton on a metal skewer and roast on an open gas flame until tender.
  3. This takes 10 to 15 minutes. Meanwhile heat charcoal until red hot. Place the skewer in a plate or a bowl.
  4. Place the charcoal on a piece of aluminium foil and drizzle ghee over it . Cover with a lid so that smoke does not escape.
  5. This will give the smoky effect. Serve with green chutney, salad and lemon wedges.

My Tip:

Marinate it over night for better results.
