Ingredients to make Mix and Match

  • Milk - 250 gms
  • Lemon - 1
  • Amul Mithaimate - 1/2 cup
  • Kesar 4 - 5 strands
  • Tooti fruity - 1/4 cups
  • Black Grapes - 10
  • Strawberries 4- 5
  • Cherries 8-10
  • Sugar 1 cup

How to make Mix and Match

  1. Boil the milk and keep it on a low flame.
  2. Squeeze the lemon in it and when the milk starts splitting, keep stirring for 1 or 2 minutes.
  3. Turn off the flame and wash and strain the split milk in a cotton cloth and let it be strained for 5 minutes so that it becomes dry. Wash properly so that sour flavor of the lemon goes out.
  4. Keep scrubbing the split milk gently so that it becomes oily.
  5. Now make small balls of it and in the mean time in a cooker add 4 cups of water and 1/2 cup of sugar and let it boil.
  6. Add these balls to the boiling sugary water and let it whistle for two times.
  7. In a pan, add milk and mithai mate in it.
  8. When it is boiled, lower the flame and add sugar and Kesar in it.
  9. When the cooker whistles for two times, turn off the flame.
  10. Turn off the flame and take out the milk in a bowl and let it cool.
  11. Open the cooker lid and take out the balls, it should become ideally double of its size and spongy too.
  12. Add the balls in the milk and freeze them for 15 minutes.
  13. In a bowl, add the ras malai and chopped fruits like black grapes, strawberries and cherries.
  14. Decorate with dry fruits and tutti fruity.
My Tip: Tangy flavor of fruits gives a twist to the dessert.
