About Pasta in Red Sauce Recipe

A pasta dish in a tangy and spicy red sauce to suit the Indian palate.

Pasta in Red Sauce

Ingredients to make Pasta in Red Sauce

  • 1 cup shell pasta
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp chopped cottage cheese (Paneer)
  • 1 tbs tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp chicken masala powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1 TBSP garlic PASTE
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 big sized tomato (finely chopped)
  • 2 big sized onions (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp oregano seasoning

How to make Pasta in Red Sauce

  1. Boil pasta as per the instructions on the packet and keep aside.
  2. In a pan, heat the oil. Add onions and saute till pink in colour. Then add the tomato and saute till its soft.
  3. Next add the chopped garlic, garlic paste, coriander powder, chicken masala, tomato ketchup and mix well. Add chopped cottage cheese and stir well.
  4. Add in the boiled pasta, oregano and stir. Then take it off the stove and add butter.
  5. Serve hot to enjoy.

My Tip:

Cheese can be added as per taste. Avoid salt as ketchup contains salt, also salt is added to the water when boiling the pasta.
