Made this spicy and tangy South Indian style puttu from leftover fried fish. It is served as an accompaniment with dal chawal.

Leftover fish, onions,tomato, green chilli, salt, haldi, hing, garam masala, jeera powder & oil
Break the fish into small pieces discarding the bones.
Heat 2 tbsps of oil and add the tempering ingredients
When they crackle add ginger garlic
Add the onions and sauté. Tip in the tomato and chilli.
When the tomatoes are soft add the fish pieces.
Add 1/4 tsp haldi and 1/2 tsp jeera powder
Next add 1/2 tsp garam masala and salt
Stir in 2 - 3 tbsps of tamarind juice
Fish puttu is ready to be served
It pairs well with dal chawal
