ABOUT Oats Dosa RECIPE

Healthy and nutritious Oats Dosa, A South Indian delicacy for breakfast. Serve with coconut chutney and sambar.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup oats
  2. 1/2 cup urad dal (black gram lentil), soaked overnight
  3. salt to taste
  4. 2 green chilies
  5. 1" ginger
  6. 1 tsp. idli podi (opt)
  7. oil to shallow fry
  8. coconut chutney and sambar to serve

Instructions

  1. Grind the soaked dal, ginger and green chilies with required quantity of water into a smooth paste. Dry roast the oats for 2 minutes. keep aside.
  2. Add the oats, salt and idli podi to make a batter of pouring consistency. Keep it aside for 4-5 hours.
  3. Brush a non-stick pan with oil and wipe dry with a kitchen towel. Pour a ladleful of the batter and spread it round into a circle.
  4. Drizzle some oil around the edges and cook on a medium flame till one side is cooked. Flip it over and cook the other side too till done.
  5. Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar for a sumptuous and a healthy breakfast.
