Ingredients to make Power bar made from Jaggery

  • 473 ml jaggery
  • 3/4th tbsp ghee
  • 1 and 1/2 cup of mixed nuts and seeds (roasted-sesame, sunflower, pumpkin seeds,cashews broken, black sesame seeds, sliced almonds, pecans pieces)

How to make Power bar made from Jaggery

  1. Keep everything ready before you start melting the jaggery.
  2. Prepare the rolling pin, the work surface, the pizza cutter, a little bowl by spreading ghee on it liberally to prevent the bar from sticking.
  3. In a heavy bottom pan, melt the jaggery then add in the butter and stir it well together. Then turn off the heat and put in the roasted seeds and nuts, stir it well with the jaggery and butter mixture.
  4. Put this mixture evenly into a baking dish and make it compact. Then place it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  5. After this time, take it out and cut into bar shapes with the pizza cutter. Store them in an air-tight container and eat when desired.
My Tip: Make sure to keep all the seeds and nuts roasted and ready before you start preparing this dish.
