ABOUT Methi ki Poori RECIPE

This is a traditional winter breakfast that I make at home, a delicious and yummy poori made with fresh fenugreek leaves.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups methi puree [blend the washed and cleaned fenugreek leaves with some water to form a puree]
  2. 1 cup wheat flour
  3. Salt
  4. 1/4 tsp red chilly powder
  5. 1/4 tsp ajwain [carom seeds]
  6. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Knead a semi soft dough using wheat flour, methi puree, salt and ajwain.
  2. Rest it for 5 minutes
  3. Now heat ample amount of oil in a wok.
  4. Divide the dough into equal sized balls and roll out puris out of the same, deep fry them in oil.
  5. Eat with pickle and curry.
