Ingredients to make Nolen Gur Ice Cream (Date Palm Jaggery)

  • Heavy Cream – 1 cup
  • Full cream milk – 1 cup
  • Vanilla essence – 1/2 tsp
  • Corn flour – 1 tbsp
  • Powdered Sugar – 70 Gms
  • Jaggery (GUR) – 1/2 Cup
  • 1 storepot vanilla cake (20gm) (ex. britannia)

How to make Nolen Gur Ice Cream (Date Palm Jaggery)

  1. Take milk in any utensil and place it for boiling. Keep 2-3 tbsp milk in glass. Mix corn flour in the milk in glass and stir until all lumps dissolve.
  2. When milk starts boiling, add corn flour mixture into it and stir well. Cook for 5-6 minutes until milk gets thick (stir the milk so well with a spoon that it doesn’t stick to the bottom of utensil). Moment when milk thickens, turn of the

  5. After 2 hours, take out the mixture from freezer and whip for another 3-4 minutes. Add jaggery & cake.Now blend well in mixer.And now put the mixture in container and set for 5-6 hours more.
  6. Mouthwatering Nolen Gur ice cream is ready. Pour hot liquid nolen gur from top & serve.
