Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice Rava - 2 cups
  2. Yellow Moong dal - 1/4 cup
  3. Chana dal - 3 tbsp
  4. Red chillies - 6
  5. Green chillies - 2
  6. Curry leaves - few springs
  7. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  8. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  9. Asfotedia - 1/4 tsp
  10. Salt - 2 tsp
  11. Water - 6 cups
  12. Oil - 4 tbsps

Instructions

  1. Wash moong dal and chana dal and keep aside
  2. Start with the tempering
  3. Add oil to a deep sauce pan. Add mustard and cumin seeds.
  4. As it splutters add the broken chillies. Saute for few seconds.
  5. Now add the asfotedia, washed dals and mix
  6. Add the water and curry leaves immediately. Add salt for seasoning. Cover and keep on high flame
  7. As soon as water boils add the rice Rava. Lower the flame
  8. Let it cook covered for 10 minutes.
  9. Open after 10 minutes and cook further for another 10 minutes
  10. Serve hot. Enjoy your breakfast.
