Bhindi is a popular household name in Punjab and can be cooked in various ways.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bhindi- 500 grams.
  2. Salt-1teaspoon
  3. coriander powder -1tsp.
  4. 1/2 tsp.garam masala
  5. 1/2 tsp. haldi (turmeric)
  6. A pinch of cumin seeds
  7. 1 tsp. of Amchoor

Instructions

  1. Wash the bhindi and dry it properly, lest it may become soggy.
  2. Cut it into thin and long pieces.
  3. Heat some oil in a deep pan and add cumin seeds when the oil is heated properly.
  4. Add Bhindi immediately and fry for 5-10 mins
  5. Now add the remaining masalas(. except amchoor and garam masala.)
  6. keep on stirring softly, so that the bhindi pieces remain intact
  7. Now you can add amchoor and cover the pan partially.Cook it on slow fire for ten mins.
  8. Remove the lid and stir it for just 2mins. and turn off the gas.Sprinkle the garam masala on the dish.
