ABOUT Kharia RECIPE

A very popular jain dish. From this chwal khichiya or chawal papad is also made.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice flour 2.5 cup
  2. Salt to taste or ( 1 tsp )
  3. Water as required
  4. Full khar 1 tsp
  5. Cumin seed
  6. Red chilly powder 1/2 tsp
  7. Coriander leaves 2 tsp
  8. Ghee 2 tsp
  9. Sugar 2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Make a batter with rice flour, Full khar, salt and water.
  2. Now grease a thali with ghee.
  3. Pour the batter in thali nd add red chilly powder and cumin seeds.
  4. Steam it for 10 minutes.
  5. Take it out and garnish it with coriander leaves.
  6. Cut it into desired shape and serve it hot with ghee and sugar.
