  • 500 grams chicken
  • 4 onions – paste
  • 4 tomatoes – pureed
  • 1 inch ginger piece, 6 cloves garlic and 2 green chillies- crushed
  • 1 cup coriander leaves and 1/2 cup mint leaves (make a roughly ground paste)
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp chicken masala powder ( optional )
  • Salt to taste

How to make Zero Oil and easy Chicken Curry

  1. 1. In a heavy bottomed pan, put 2 glasses of water and bring to a boil.
  2. 2. Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and salt.
  3. 3. Now add the onion paste and the crushed ginger, garlic & green chillies.
  4. 4. Add the tomato puree, corriander-mint paste and bring to a boil.
  5. 5. Add the chicken pieces. Cover and cook ( on a high flame for 10 minutes and simmer after that) till the chicken is done. Add more water to it for more curry once you open the lid.

My Tip:

If you want a quick curry, just put everything into a pressure cooker. It will be done in a few whistles.
