ABOUT MIRCHI WADA RECIPE

This is a famous and traditional breakfast recipe of rajasthan, follow this recipe of mine to make these at home for your loved ones.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Boiled Potato - 2 medium
  2. Red Chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
  3. Coriander powder - 1/4 tsp
  4. Chopped Coriander leaves - 1 tsp
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Amchur powder/ Dry Mango Powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Crushed Fennel Seeds - 1/4 tsp
  8. Hing [Asafoetida] a pinch
  9. Ingredients for the batter : Besan / Chickpea flour - 1 cup
  10. Jeera/Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  11. Hing a pinch
  12. Turmeric a generous pinch
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Chopped Coriander leaves - 1 tsp
  15. Cooking soda - a generous pinch
  16. Other ingredients : Serrano Peppers - 10 ( slit and remove the seeds)
  17. Oil to deep fry

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl add the boiled potato mash it well. Add red chilly powder,coriander powder,salt,amchur powder,crushed fennel seeds & hing.
  2. Mix everything well,slit the chillies remove seeds. Take some potato mixture & fill it evenly into the slit chillies.Keep it on a plate.
  3. Take a bowl & add all the above mentioned ingredients under "batter". Pour water little by little to form a medium thick batter. 
  4. Heat oil in a pan dip the stuffed chilly into the batter.Make sure its well coated on all sides. Slowly drop it into the hot oil,deep fry in medium high flame till crisp & brown on both sides.
  5. Remove it on a kitchen paper for excess oil to get absorbed. Serve them hot with any dip you like.
