Ingredients to make Dragon paneer

  • For deep frying-
  • Paneer cubes 250 gms
  • All purpose flour 3 tbsp
  • Corn flour 1 tbsp
  • Chilly powder 1 tsp
  • Pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Soya sauce 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
  • For the semi dry gravy-
  • Big Onions chopped 3
  • Ginger- garlic paste 1/2 tbsp
  • Bell pepper any colours chopped 1/2cup
  • Green chilly chopped 4
  • Red chilly paste 1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 1/2 tbsp
  • Tomato sauce 1 tbsp
  • Sugar a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Corriander leaves chopped
  • Cashewnuts broken 3 tbsp
  • Ghee 1/2tbsp
  • Oil

How to make Dragon paneer

  1. Mix all purpose flour, corn flour, soya sauce, chilly powder, pepper powder, salt and a little water to form a thick batter.
  2. Put the paneer cubes in this batter and marinate well.
  3. In a pan heat oil and deep fry the paneer until it becomes crispy and golden brown and keep them aside.
  4. In another pan add half tbsp ghee add the cashew nuts and keep it aside.
  5. In the same pan add 2 tbsp oil add the onions and saute well till golden brown.
  6. Now add the ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw taste is gone.
  7. Now add the bell pepper, green chillies, salt, sugar and the red chilly paste and saute for 2 min.
  8. Pour the sauces mix well and saute for 1 min.
  9. Add the fried paneer and mix well. After 1 min remove from the flame.
  10. Add chopped coriander leaves and cashew nuts and serve hot.
