ABOUT Oats methi dhokla RECIPE

Dhokla is very famous traditional breakfast from gujrat . I have added methi leaves and oats to the dhikla mix and made one healthy breakfast .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For dhokla -Half cup rolled oats
  2. Half cup semolina
  3. Half cup chopped methi leaves
  4. 1 tsp Ginger paste
  5. 1 tsp green chilli paste
  6. 1 cup curd
  7. salt as per taste
  8. Fruit salt as required
  9. 2 tsp Lemon juice
  10. 2 tsp oil
  11. For tempering - 1 tsp mustard seeds
  12. 1 tsp Sesame seeds
  13. 2-3 green chillies split
  14. 4-5 Curry Leaves

Instructions

  1. First dry roast oats into a pan and let it Cool down. Then in a mixer grind it week and make fine powder.
  2. In a big bowl add oats powder , semolina and curd . Mix well . Now add methi leaves,ginger green chilli paste,salt as per taste ,oil and lemon juice and mix well .
  3. Grease one Thali or pot with oil .
  4. Now add fruit salt to the dhokla batter . Mix gently . Immediately pour into greased Thali. Put it on steamer and steam it for about 15 minutes. Dhokla is ready . Let it Cool down and cut into small pieces.
  5. For tempering- take one pan add 2 tsp oil , when oil is getting hot ,add mustard seeds ,sesame seeds and curry leaves. Add split green chillies. Turn off the gas . Pour this tempering on dhokla pieces . Oats methi dhokla is ready . Serve hot with green chutney.
