Methi Matar Malai

Ingredients to make Methi Matar Malai

  • Fenugreek leaves- bunch
  • Green peas- 1/2 cup
  • Onions- 2 , chopped
  • Ginger-garlic - 1 tsp
  • Cashewnuts- a handful
  • Cream- 1/2 cup
  • Salt as per taste
  • Ghee- 2 tbsp
  • Dalchini- 1 stick
  • Sugar- a pinch
  • Milk- 1/2 cup

How to make Methi Matar Malai

  1. Clean the Methi leaves, and cut them up, Heat a pan add 1 tsp ghee add thinly slices onions cashew nuts ginger(2 inches), garlic3-4, and fry till onion looks pinkish. allow it to cool and grind all these fried ingredients together.
  2. Heat the Ghee add the cinnamon stick, add the friend paste and fry till it leaves the oil, then add the green peas and fry nicely then add the methi leaves and cook 8-10 minutes add salt and sugar mix well.
  3. Add the 1/2 cup milk and 1 cup water (when it boils, add the cream) and serve the Methi Matar Malali with roti or fulkas.
