ABOUT Chocolate truffle cake RECIPE

this is a perfect cake for valentines day....its got soft chocolate sponge soaked in coffee and iced with chocolate cream and chocolate gamache, covered with white vanilla fondant.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Flour 1 cup
  2. Eggs 2
  3. Sugar 1 cup
  4. Cocoa powder 2 tablespoons
  5. Oil 2 tsp
  6. Hot water
  7. Baking powder and baking soda 1 tsp
  8. Chocolate essence
  9. Store bought fondant
  10. Food grade colour
  11. Cooking chocolate
  12. Whipping cream
  13. Milk- as required

Instructions

  1. In a bowl separate the egg whites and the yolk and mix chocolate essence , oil and hot water in the yolk and mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl whip the egg white until stiff peaks form.
  3. In another bowl sieve together flour,sugar,cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder and add the yolk mixture and mix well.
  4. Then add the egg white and using cut amd fold technique, mix it taking care not to allow the air to escape.
  5. Pour in a pre-greased tin and bake at 180°C for 35 mins.
  6. While the cake is baking make the ganache by melting cooking chocolate on a double boiler, once it melts add milk according and mix to get a runny but thick liquid.
  7. Whip the cream nicely until peaks form and add the chocolate gamache in it to make it into chocolate whipped cream.
  8. By that time the cake must be ready .....once ready slice it into 3 and add the cream and the ganache and repeat in other layers also continue until the entire cake is covered.
  9. Take white fondant knead it well and roll out then with the help of the rolling pin place it on your cake and cover it with fondant, make teddy bears and hearts by adding the required food colour and place it on the cake.
  10. The cake is ready.

In each layer did u put cream if chocolate and ganache together how?
