Kiss of a Health Platter

Ingredients to make Kiss of a Health Platter

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup daliya (broken wheat)
  • 4 slices of brown bread
  • 1 tablespoon mayo or any spread of your choice
  • 1/2 cup grated cucumber and orange carrot
  • 1 tbsp green moong split
  • Seasoning for Sandwich- salt, pepper, oregano, chilli flakes
  • Spices for Daliya- Salt, red chilli, hing and zeera
  • Parsley to garnish

How to make Kiss of a Health Platter

  1. Boil eggs and cut them in heart shape after removing the shell. Sprinkle a little salt and pepper
  2. For Daliya: Take a cooker and add a tsp of oil. Add hing, zeera and let it splutter.
  3. Add daliya and roast it till you get its aroma.
  4. Add soaked dal, some cucumber and carrot, salt and red chilli. Add water to cook the daliya.
  5. Pressure cook till 2-3 whistles. To serve, take a bowl and fill it will dailya, without leaving any gap. Now put it upside down on a plate and gently remove the bowl. Garnish with parsley.
  6. For Sandwich: Mix the remaining cucumber and carrot to the chosen spread. Add seasoning and keep aside.
  7. Cut the slices in shape of heart and fill it with the prepared spread to make a heart-shape sandwich.
My Tip: Remember to cook daliya first, then eggs and lastly sandwich. You can add your favorite veggies.
