About Shahi Tukda Recipe

Its a delicious Hyderabadi sweet delicacy.

Shahi Tukda

Ingredients to make Shahi Tukda

  • 12 Small Bread Pieces + 1 Large piece cut into 4
  • pistachio
  • A pinch of saffron
  • Silver Warq
  • 1 tsp kewra Water
  • 1 tsp elaichi Powder
  • 6 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 litre Cow Milk
  • cashew

How to make Shahi Tukda

  1. Fry the bread pieces in ghee on a medium hot pan.
  2. Boil the sugar and water until it becomes a 1 string consistency then add saffron into this to make a sugar syrup
  3. Boil the milk for 30 mins until it thickens, add elaichi powder and 1 tbsp sugar.
  4. Now soak the fried breads into sugar syrup.
  5. Take a serving platter, arrange the breads then pour the milk followed with pistachio, cashews, silver warq and kewra water.
  6. Refrigerate and serve after 1 hour.
