ABOUT Rava and Flour Coated Fish Fry..... RECIPE

A crispy coated fish fry that is so flavoursome. It is best served with rice and dal. The spices added gives it a super red colour and looks gorgeous. Simple yet aromatic due to the flour and rava mix that gives it a unique crunch. Fish masala added to the dry flour mix gives it a totally different flavour and a heavenly aroma of it can be sniffed while frying the fish.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. King fish or any good variety one 1 kg
  2. Salt 1 tbsp
  3. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  4. Cumin powder 1 tbsp
  5. coriander powder 1 tbsp
  6. Kashmiri Red Chilli powder 2 tbsp
  7. Green Chilli paste 1 tbsp
  8. FOR THE COATING ; Fish masala 1 tbsp
  9. whole wheat flour 1/2 cup
  10. Semolina 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Clean fish properly and make deep slits.
  2. Add all the ingredients to it and mix well.
  3. Keep it aside for 2 hours.
  4. Combine both semolina and wheat flour in a bowl along with the fish masala.
  5. Also add some salt and red chilli powder to it according to taste.
  6. Coat the fish pieces well with this dry mix and deep fry.
  7. Deep fry in hot oil on a medium to low flame until crisp and golden brown.
  8. Serve with rice and dal, the favourite combo with fish fry.
