Shammi Kebabs

Ingredients to make Shammi Kebabs

  • 500 gms Mutton mince
  • 200 gms Chana dal
  • 2 tsp Whole garam masala
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 6-7 Whole red chillis
  • 1 Whole garlic pod
  • 2 onion
  • 1/2 bunch Mint leaves
  • 1/2 bunch coriander leaves
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 egg
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste

How to make Shammi Kebabs

  1. Soak Chana dal for an hour. In a pressure cooker add mutton mince and soaked chana dal.
  2. Add whole garam masala, whole red chillies, 1 pod of peeled and crushed garlic, bay leaves, one sliced onion, salt and mix well cover it and put it on flame and cook until dal is tender.
  3. When the pressure cooker cools down open it, if any water is there dry it over high flame, then taking a little at a time put in mixer jar and grind into a smooth paste.
  4. In this kebab mix add chopped onion, chopped green chillies, mint and coriander leaves and mix well.

My Tip:

serve hot with parathas, round sliced onions and green chutney.
